PPA Education /Promotions Committee

The Marathon County PPA Education/Promotion committee fosters and supports the growth of agriculture through promotions and educational activities in the community. Key initiatives include:

• Hosting the annual Farm/City Dinner - bringing together the rural and urban communities to celebrate accomplishments and the strong agriculture heritage of Central Wisconsin
• Hosting the Ag Adventure Tent at the Wisconsin Valley Fair - showcasing production agriculture, community resources and products
• Awarding mini Dairy Grants to support dairy promotion activities throughout the county

June Dairy Breakfast Committee

• Organizes the Marathon County June Dairy Breakfast. This event gives our community a first-hand look into the dairy industry and the contributions it makes to Marathon County through farm tours, educational exhibits and even cheese tasting. It is also an opportunity to showcase dairy farms in Marathon County.
• This committee selects the farm a year in advance and begins working with them.
• Make contacts with Marathon County businesses and vendors for sponsorships and donations for the events.
